I've been drawing since way before I can remember. And I do it pretty much any time my pen hits a piece of paper (whether or not I should be drawing or not). It's become standard practice for me to begin any new project with a pen and a stack of loose–leaf copy paper before my hand even touches a mouse.
When other designers say "I can't draw" honestly it confuses the shit out of me. To me drawing and design are intertwined so closely that they become one. Hell, the reason I became obsessed with design was because it was one of the only practical ways that I could draw and earn a living at the same time.
There are thousands of artist out there much better than myself, but there are also thousands that can school me in playing the sitar but that doesn't get me down.
